Hex-Twist Knuckle Roller

A solid wood pocket sculpture designed for movement and touch.

The twisting hexagonal form creates changing faces and edges as it moves, giving it a satisfying variety of visual and tactile feedback. Roll it between your fingers, roll it between the palms of both hands, hold it in your hand and rub your thumb across its surfaces. Experiment with different movements and discover what feels best in your hand.

Each piece is roughed out on a desktop CNC router, then minor shaping and sanding are done by hand before finishing with Tried & True Danish Oil.

Because each piece is made from natural wood and finished by hand, variations in grain and colour, along with very minor variations in final shape, are normal and make each piece unique.

Finish

Finished with Tried & True Danish Oil, a polymerized linseed oil finish that is zero-VOC, solvent-free, and contains no metallic driers. The manufacturer states that it is safe for food and skin contact.

The finish is allowed to cure before shipping and leaves the wood with a natural satin feel. A faint linseed-oil scent may remain when first received and will dissipate over time.
